System Administrator
The process was good. First, a phone interview with IT leadership, then a Microsoft Teams interview, and finally an in-person interview with IT leadership and people from various IT departments.
- Given some IT scenarios, how would you handle them?
- What do you think the issue could be in these IT scenarios?
- How would you approach fixing the problem in these IT scenarios?
Finance Manager
I sent in my application online via the county website back in March. About two months after applying, I got a call for an interview. I met with four interviewers who asked me questions about my past work and also about how I'd handle different situations. They were all very nice and easy to talk to, making the conversation flow well. Not long after, I was contacted for a second interview with a different group of four people. This interview was set up the same way and was also a really good experience. I had plenty of time to give my answers and also to ask them questions. The whole interview process was pretty standard, nothing really surprising. Everyone I encountered was professional and kind. I thought the whole process was great.
- Describe how you would communicate financial information in various scenarios.
- Can you discuss your past experiences?
- What would you do in certain situations?
Program Manager
I had three separate interviews with county leaders. During the interviews, there were some concerning comments about county employees being too old and needing to leave. The interviewer also overused buzzwords that they didn't seem to understand. There was a lack of management accountability for the workforce's poor performance.
- Can you discuss your background in Information Technology?
- How do you approach project delivery?
- Describe a time you had to demonstrate a sense of urgency.
ERP Fiscal Functional Support Analyst
Applied in late June, got a system email saying I was selected July 1. Then on July 8, I got an email for Microsoft Teams interview times, and I interviewed 3 days later. Got an invitation for an in-person interview on July 15, which happened the following week on July 24. I got an offer on July 28.
- Can you tell me about your accounting experience and list the ERP modules you've used?
- What's your level of account knowledge?
- Please describe a project where you analyzed large datasets.
