Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hill & Knowlton.
Account Manager
I was first contacted by a recruiter in Hong Kong and then quickly had an initial interview with a senior person. After that, I met with someone at my peer level. Then I had to do a long writing test, which had three prompts and ended up being about five pages. Once that was done, I had a really good conversation with an EVP and then they offered me the job. All in all, it was a great experience.
- Can you describe your management style?
- Which clients have you previously worked with?
- What do you enjoy most about PR?
Account Manager
The initial phone interview went really well, the HR person was super nice. The process itself was pretty smooth, but it did take a while to get the feedback needed for a decision. It might be good to keep track of how long it takes from the first interview to getting a confirmation either way.
- What are reasons someone might not want to join your team?
- Estimate the number of barbers in Chicago.
Account Manager
The whole thing was super fast, like only 2 weeks from start to finish and they gave me an offer. It was pretty easy overall, with just three interviews. Everyone I met was really nice and made me feel comfortable right away.
- Can you share some examples of projects or clients you've handled in the past?
- Could you walk me through a typical day in your current job?
- What are you hoping to achieve in this role and what makes you interested in it?
