First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HiLabs.
Software Development Engineer
There were 2 rounds, each 30 minutes long. After that, there was a 2-day wait. The first interview was with an SDE2, focusing on a binary search question and a discussion about my resume. The second interview was with an SDE2 and the Pune Dev Head, where they asked a hashing question, discussed my resume, and also some HR-related topics.
- Tell me about a binary search problem.
- Can we talk about your resume?
- Explain a hashing concept.
Senior Software Engineer
So there were 2 technical rounds and 1 managerial round. I talked about my experience, and the first two rounds were about solving DSA problems. The early engineers I spoke with seemed a bit junior and didn't really get some of the system design ideas I brought up, focusing more on what they already knew.
- Could you describe your previous job responsibilities and the architecture you worked with?
Software Engineer
The interview had three rounds, and they mostly asked about my resume projects and web development. They also asked for some Javascript coding, like printing elements from a nested array. DSA wasn't really asked much.
- Tell me about your resume projects.
- Can you discuss your web development background?
- How would you go about printing elements from a nested array in Javascript?
