It was done over zoom in a few steps. First, I had to complete an online questionnaire. Then, there were several zoom calls to talk about the team and my skills. I was asked a few more quantitative questions, but most of them were qualitative.

First there was a resume screening. Then we had a technical and HR interview. After that, I interviewed with the Manager. Finally, when I arrived in Japan, there was a meeting with a Top Management person where I had to share my goals.

It was 4 rounds of interviews, focusing on web development with LAMP related questions. I had to explain a whole web development project from scratch. They also asked why Japan and some basic behavioral questions about difficult situations and how I handled them. Experience with Salesforce was a plus.

I applied through rikunabi-next and had 2 interviews. First was with a junior HR person who tested basic stuff like math and kanji. Then a manager-level HR person asked about my motivation and if I was a good fit. The process is pretty chill, if you have a clean background and show you really want the job, you'll probably get it.
