First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Higley Unified School District.
Teacher
I met with the principal, assistant principal, and the two other teachers on the grade level team. They explained what the school is like and then asked questions.
- Can you describe a lesson you've taught?
Bus Driver
I was looking for a job and saw a sign at the company, so I went in. The thing is, I already had something most people don't: a Commercial Drivers License. I had worked as a bus driver for 2 years before, but I needed a full-time job. So, when I told the Director I was already licensed and just needed to be re-certified by the state, he hired me right away. I just had to fill out the application to finish.
- What was the reason you left your previous employment?
Teacher
It was a pretty standard interview for a teacher. The principal, assistant principal, math coach, and department chair were all present. The atmosphere was really comfortable, and the school was super responsive throughout the process.
- Can you tell us about how you differentiate instruction?
- How do you foster a positive class culture?
Visual Arts Teacher
I applied online and then got a phone call to set up an interview. The interview was at my supervisor's office, and then I waited to see if I got the job.
- What makes you want to be a part of this school district?
