First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Higi.
Senior Software Developer
The interview process involved approximately 4 onsite rounds. It felt like a boy's club with a horrible, childish attitude from the interviewers, who were lacking transparency. It was a complete waste of time as they weren't open to anything outside their own mindset.
- What are your thoughts on recursion and related concepts?
- Can you discuss the SDLC process?
Digital Marketing Manager
This interview process was a bit frustrating, though I was really interested in the role and company. While it moved at a decent pace, I had to keep following up to move things along. They'd ask for my availability for the next week, but then nothing would happen until I followed up again to reschedule. This happened a few times. I think the company has potential if you're patient or willing to wait, and hopefully, it's not indicative of how they run their teams. The process included a phone interview, a video interview, a take-home case study to create a digital campaign, and then an in-person interview. During the in-person meeting, they changed the scope of the position, which was sprung on me upon arrival and ultimately led to me not getting the job. It was quite frustrating after investing hours into this opportunity.
- Develop a digital campaign focused on awareness, outlining the journey for someone to discover a program, come to a station to sign up, and stay engaged.
Office Administrator
Applied online and got an interview request the next day, within 24 hours. The interview was conducted online via the Wire app and lasted approximately 2 hours. It felt like a group interview because there were about 5 minutes between each question, as if the interviewer was waiting for everyone to respond before moving on. This was my first online chat interview, so it was a bit unusual but overall a positive experience despite being quite long.
- What are your 5-year career aspirations?
- What makes you the ideal candidate for this position?
- On a scale of one to ten, how would you assess your proficiency with Microsoft Excel?
Product Manager
I had a phone screen with the Chief Product Officer, and then another interview with a Product Manager. The questions were pretty straightforward. Both went well, and I got good feedback, but then I got a rejection email two weeks later. I asked for more feedback since I thought the interviews were good, but they didn't respond.
- What is your advice for collaborating with offshore development teams?
