My interview process at Highwire began with a phone call with a VP/hiring manager for the Account Manager position. I also spoke with another VP and three staffers who were in similar roles. One of the VPs brought up that there were negative employee comments on Glassdoor, which I found fair game to ask about. Some of the five people I spoke with were helpful, but one was unprofessional and territorial, questioning my resume and fit for the role despite a VP's endorsement. She even named someone she allegedly drove away. Despite this, the overall interview process, lasting two weeks, felt positive and I felt Highwire was a place I'd want to work. I had multiple conversations with the hiring manager and another VP, more than any previous interview. The compensation was also competitive and allowed for remote work. The reason I didn't accept was a disagreement over the start date. I proposed a start date about 3.5 weeks out to manage my transition, including giving my current employer two weeks' notice. The VP insisted on the following Monday, then reluctantly accepted my date but questioned my judgment for not planning my exit earlier. I explained I was showing my current employer the same courtesy I'd show Highwire and that I wouldn't transition before getting a signed offer. The manager argued this reflected how I'd act as an account manager, showing a lack of professional courtesy and projecting her own pressure. I realized I couldn't work for this person.

Technical Behavioral

applied through a recruiting agency and they set up an initial phone interview with the hiring manager who is a tech lead of the the team. The interview was a mix of technical and behavioral, but he grilled on some of the concepts whether I have used it in my projects or at work or not. Most of the conversation is about your resume and background and to see if you'd be a good fit.

Applied direct. Had a telephone interview with UK HR. Then, a telephone interview with UK VP. Followed by a face-to-face with the UK VP. Communication was poor near the end, with unkept promises. It felt like they had someone else lined up but kept me hanging just in case that person didn't accept. I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

Behavioral Technical Group

I talked to the hiring manager on the phone first, then I had an in-person meeting with them. After that, I came back for another interview with about 5 of my future peers at the Redwood City office, with each meeting lasting around an hour. Then I got a verbal offer, followed by an offer letter and other documents sent by HR via email. This whole thing took about 3 weeks.
