This round was supposed to be about LLD and machine coding, but they spent a good chunk of time on HLD, like 30-40 mins. The interviewer seemed stuck on one specific solution and wasn't really open to other ideas. I managed to write a full working code with good design patterns and a clean structure in about 20 minutes. When asked about scaling for millions of requests, I talked about ways to make it handle that load, but again, it felt like they were looking for a particular answer. The feedback said my 'basics were not clear', which was weird because it didn't match our chat. Since it was mainly an LLD round, the feedback felt off.

The interview process was decent. Initially, the interviewer asked about my resume and then went deep into the technical aspects of a specific project I worked on. There were also system design questions. I got the impression that the interviewer wasn't really open to discussion or alternative solutions, but rather expected a very specific answer they had in mind.
