The initial outreach was nice and professional. The hiring manager seemed well-prepared and asked good questions. They were very open to answering any concerns I brought up during the call. It felt like a friendly introduction.

The interview process started out very quick and informative. I made it through 4 rounds of interviews, including a written assessment that was to be turned over during a weekend, as well as an in person visit in Chantilly, VA at their South Riding location. This visit was the last step of the interview process which occurred on July 2,2024. I was finally contacted on July 19,2024, after two follow up emails and a LinkedIn message to inquire about my application status. There was no offer made due to this role being centered around “outside sales over marketing and you’re used to sending emails.” During the in person there was no conversation surrounding emails- I discussed going to surrounding businesses and collaborating. Please be aware that the Marketing roles within this company are heavily influenced by outside sales aka you’ll be going door to door selling their product that should sell itself?

I had an initial 1-1 interview that went well, and they suggested a different open position that fit my background better. For the second scheduled interview, the interviewer didn't show up. After waiting 10 minutes, I got an email to reschedule. Even though that should've been a warning sign, I agreed to the rescheduled second interview, and it also went well. I was then moved to a third-round interview via email, not through a recruiter. It took over two weeks to hear back. The interviewer asked for my availability, I gave it to them, and it's been another two weeks with no response. Based on this, I can't recommend this company. If they can't communicate clearly and on time during the hiring process, I can only imagine how disorganized they are as an employer. Plus, it's really disrespectful to the candidate.

First, there was a video recording interview where 5 questions were asked. I had to record my answers and send them in. Some answers could be re-recorded as many times as I wanted, but others had limits. You could start recording whenever you were ready, so there was time to practice beforehand. It's really important to have a stable internet connection for this part, try using a hardline if possible. After that, I had a Zoom interview with the Director, which was mainly to get to know me. They asked basic interview questions and we talked about the job. Then came a two-hour assignment that included a typing test, scenario-based questions, and mock tasks relevant to the role. Finally, I interviewed with the Team Members, where they wanted to get to know me and asked scenario and basic interview questions.
