First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HiBob.
Senior Frontend Engineer
We started with a phone call screen, then moved to a technical session focused on Angular and Javascript. After that, there was another technical session where I discussed a project I led. Finally, an HR interview happened before the offer.
- Can you explain concepts related to Angular and Javascript?
- Could you walk me through the architecture of a feature you led?
Frontend Engineer
The hiring process was quick and considerate. They called me the day after to share the outcome, which is pretty uncommon nowadays. I went through two interviews: the first was with HR, and the second, the next day, involved two technical interviewers. The interviewers were nice, professional, and made me feel comfortable. I guess I was the one who messed up, though. I can blame it on not seeing those kinds of questions before, Zoom freezing, and my internet connection dropping. Sometimes, you just have bad luck :)
- The interview process included a coding challenge and a design task that required a visual explanation of my approach.
Front End Developer
The interview process was really friendly, conducted over Zoom and phone, with a very direct and open communication style throughout. All the questions felt fair and weren't designed to trip you up. There were 3 interview stages: the first checked my fundamental knowledge, the second went into more depth, and the third assessed my thought process and how I'd collaborate with the team leader.
- Can you tell me about your JavaScript and Angular knowledge?
- How do you approach problem-solving in front-end development?
- How would you work with a team leader?
