First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HHM Hotels.
Front Desk Manager
I had a good experience with the managers and recruiters. The recruiter spoke with me first and then set up an onsite interview. They asked me relevant questions and the recruiter kept in touch. When they extended an offer, the recruiter went over the benefits, salary, and HHM policies.
- Tell me about your experience.
- What is your availability?
General Manager
Applied online, and within 48 hours, the Coordinator reached out to set up a call with the Hiring Manager. I then interviewed with the Regional and the VP. The VP mentioned a 1-2 week wait for next steps due to the holidays and discussions with Ownership. After over two weeks, I sent a follow-up to the Hiring Manager and Coordinator but heard nothing. I waited another two weeks and reached out again for feedback and an update, but was ghosted. I was really hoping to join HHM because their culture and portfolio seemed great, but their recruiting and HR team's treatment of candidates was very unprofessional and misleading. It's a shame.
- Will you relocate?
Accountant
The interviewer was 30 mins late for a 45 min interview. During the interview process, the interviewer constantly interrupted my answer and showed very little respect to the interviewer. The experience is the worst interviewer and company I have interviewed with over all these years. The interview has also expressed strong opinion about my career choices, which is very insulting. I had a good impression about HHM before the interview. After the interview, I feel the work environment will be hostile if the management all acts like the interviewer.
- Can you tell me about your greatest weakness?
- What was the duration of the closing period at your last role?
- What were the names of your previous supervisors?
Food & Beverage Supervisor
After applying online for the Food & Beverage Supervisor position at the Daytona Beach facility, you'll receive a call for an in-person interview. They hold these for multiple people on different days. I first met with the HR Director on one day. Then I got a call back for a very long interview with the F&B Director. After that, I got another call back to meet with the hiring Director.
- What are your salary expectations?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- What are your goals?
