It was a two-part interview process. First, I spoke with the Hiring Manager on the phone for about 20 minutes. They asked some basic questions. Then, I met with both the Hiring Manager and the Vice President. When salary expectations came up, it was tough to figure out their budget for the role.

It was pretty chill, mostly standard interview stuff. They asked about how I handle different scenarios and to tell them about a time I did something. The interviewers seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say and the overall conversation.

Behavioral

The first two interviews seemed to go really well, with questions that felt straightforward given my background. However, after the second interview, both the recruiter and the hiring manager went completely silent, and didn't respond even after I sent a courtesy follow-up email. While I'm glad I didn't get an offer because I accepted a better opportunity elsewhere, the lack of communication left a negative impression of the company, especially coming from an HR professional myself. It was unacceptable. Then, a month later, I received a rejection email without any prior contact.
