Area Leader
The interview/screening was via zoom. It started with casual questions, then turned into questions like "what will you bring to the business to increase revenue?". Just so you know, they're part of a franchise, so you'll probably meet the individual franchise owner/operator. I was supposed to get an email with next steps and an address for an in-person interview, but that never happened. The job was reposted 5 minutes after my interview call ended. π very weird. It also seemed like the franchise owner lacked industry experience, so they would heavily rely on or hire someone to their advantage to help grow their business, but not offer equity.
- Can you provide several ideas on how you would expand the current business?
Operations
The interview had a messed up structure, and they asked personal questions not related to job performance or the role. The interviewer didn't even ask about my experience or what I can do for the job. They also didn't explain what I'd be doing or what's expected.
- What are your personal questions that had nothing to do with capabilities?
Retail Associate
Applied for a different role initially, but ended up in this one after several meetings with managers. The process was extensive, including excel and SQL tests, and meeting team members to understand daily tasks. An offer was extended, but payment was in Chilean pesos, requiring a move to Chile and a work visa. The hassle for the offered salary led to declining the position.
- How would you solve this business problem?
- Take an English online exam.
- Complete a SQL online exam.
Growth Marketing Manager
I was really disappointed with this interview. I first had a quick call with a recruiter, and then the hiring manager wanted to talk the same day. The conversation with the hiring manager went really well, and I thought I was a strong candidate. They then asked me to do a skills assessment, which took about two hours and was pretty straightforward given my recent work experience. After that, I heard nothing until I got an automated rejection email. I was so surprised that I followed up with the recruiter to check, but never heard back. It's frustrating to spend hours on interviews and assessments and then not even get a personal email explaining why I wasn't selected. It leaves a bad impression of the company, especially since I've been a customer.
- Could you share your background in media and DTC?
