I just walked in off the street and dropped off my resume, highlighting my 2 years of hospitality experience. Within an hour, the Front Office Manager called me for an interview later that day. The hiring process was pretty quick for me. They asked about my goals, my interest in hospitality, my customer service experience, and how I've handled tough situations. Then, the General Manager gave me a quick interview, asking about my hospitality background, my goals, and my career interests. I got the job right there and then. The whole thing, from submitting my resume to getting the offer, took about 3 hours.

A couple weeks after I applied, I got a call and was asked to set up a phone call with HR for the next day. The HR manager was nice and we had a good chat. She asked me questions about my background and why I wanted a new job. She also asked about my salary expectations, which felt a bit early. They offered a salary below what I make now, but she said the Finance team might be open to negotiation and HR would let me know the next business day what Finance said. I never heard back or got a reply to my thank-you/follow-up email; they just ghosted me.
