First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Heritage Oaks Hospital.
Mental Health Technician
The interview was very chill and straightforward. They asked a couple of questions about my background, and the interviewer went over how everything works at the hospital, like orientation, what the day-to-day is like, and what staff are expected to do.
- Can you share more about yourself?
Mental Health Technician
The interview lasted about an hour. They asked about my qualifications and experience, and presented me with some scenarios. I first spoke with HR and then met the director of nursing. Be aware that they might consider you overqualified for the role and pay they offer, as they offered me $11/hour despite having a college degree, which surprised me.
- What would you do if a patient behaved in a certain way?
- How would you handle a situation where a coworker isn't completing their charting?
- Tell me about your qualifications and work history.
Social Worker
The interview process was unprofessional and disorganized. It felt like a revolving door and a toxic work environment. They were very eager to bring candidates in with little to no formal interview process.
- Can you tell me about your past experience?
Registered Nurse
It was like a casual chat. They asked me about all the experiences I have, specifically if I had any experience in psych. The interviewer then went over the job duties for a nurse and all the benefits.
- What is your knowledge of psychiatric nursing?
