HENSOLDT Interview Questions
& Process

It started with looking over my application, then a chat with HR. After that there were some technical or skill interviews, then the manager interviewed me, and they also checked if I'm a cultural fit. Then they made the final choice, we talked about the offer, did background checks, and then they told me about onboarding.

The whole application process seemed very uncoordinated. Both interviewers arrived significantly late (15 and then another 25 minutes), which created a chaotic impression from the start. Afterwards, I was immediately invited to a second interview, where again an interviewer was missing. The process felt improvised, not well thought out, and didn't give a professional impression. I also got the impression that the decision had already been made beforehand and the interview had little influence, so I felt my time wasn't taken seriously. At first, I was unsure if this impression was subjective, but the numerous critical reviews on the platform confirm my experience.

Video interview with standard questions. The Hiring Manager introduced the company and position, then asked me to introduce myself. The questions weren't unusual. Product roadmap, benchmarking, competitive analysis, etc. Afterwards, I got to ask questions, which were answered.

The recruitment process was very quick and the people were very professional. I first had a call with the headhunter, followed by two phone calls with Hensoldt HR. The final stage was an in-person interview at the Ulm location, conducted by the HR representative and three other interviewers (Project Manager, Head of Quality). Although I don't speak German very well, the interview was conducted in German and lasted over two hours. I received positive feedback the next day and the contract the following working day.
