First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hendrick Automotive Group.
Sales Professional
You'll have about 3 to 5 interviews with different managers. Sometimes they schedule them all on the same day, or you might have to come back another day if a manager is busy. Just watch out for long waits, though. They might make you sit there waiting for a manager for hours.
- Do you have prior sales experience?
Inside Sales Representative
I was contacted by a recruiter from Hendrick Automotive group who invited me for an interview. Upon arrival, the process was a bit unusual. I had to complete a timed typing test, giving me 5 minutes. Following that, I shadowed a sales representative briefly. Then, I interviewed with the manager, who asked standard questions. Subsequently, I was invited for a second interview with the BDC. During this interview, I was asked about my motivations for joining Hendrick and for starting in an entry-level sales role, which I explained. They also detailed the compensation structure and offered me the job.
- What makes you want to join Hendrick Automotive group?

Sales Representative
I got contacted on LinkedIn and they offered me a phone call. The conversation was really easygoing and enjoyable. The regional manager, Dan, was looking to hire a new sales rep. He spent time getting to know me and made me feel comfortable, even though I didn't end up taking the job. If you're naturally good at sales and confident, this interview should be a piece of cake for you.
- What's prompting your job search for a new opportunity?
- What are your career aspirations moving forward?
