First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HemoSonics.
Automation Engineer
I had two rounds of phone interviews and then an in person interview. The in person interview was a little over 4 hours and it included a facility tour plus a few panel interviews and a one on one interview. Everyone was welcoming and professional during the interviews and asked good questions about previous experiences and what was learned from them.
- Tell me about a time when a project did not go as planned and what did you do about it?
Manager
The interview was a mix of virtual and in-person, ending with a final interview on-site. It was quite a lengthy process. Initially, there was a virtual phone screen with the hiring manager. The on-site part involved a tour and meeting with several interviewers.
- What is your motivation for applying to this position?
Procurement and Planning Manager
The process was fine until after the onsite. I was informed that there were three candidates competing for two open positions. For two months, they led me to believe I was still in consideration for both roles, but I received no definitive answers. While I'm confident I was among the top candidates, I suspect my age may have been a factor in their decision to remove me from the running. I still believe it could be a great place to work, though their interview process was quite unprofessional.
- Were the questions asked standard for most interviews?
Cartridge Automation Technician
You'll probably have your first interview with the department's hiring manager. Then, the second round involves a site tour, another meeting with the hiring manager, a chat with some folks from your potential team, a meeting with the head of HR, and finally, the HR specialist will discuss benefits with you.
- Are you open to coaching?
- What's the best way to coach you?
- Describe your learning style.
