Insurance and Benefits Advisor
Long interview with a slow response time. The basic argument was... that it will go fast. Interview conducted by someone who is supposed to be your boss but doesn't have much experience in the insurance sector... It's a bit funny to see who they recruit to be a boss for them. Otherwise, basic questions in the interview, introduce yourself, your background, your work method, we evaluate how you are and if it can work with the team. They explain how it works, the expectations, etc.
- What are your weaknesses?
- How do you work on a daily basis?
- Are you comfortable with 360 feedback?
Conseiller Clientèle
After submitting my application, I had a first meeting with my future direct manager, a 1-on-1. They were looking to understand my genuine personality, without any pretense. Then, a second meeting with the direct manager and the general agent, which was a bit more serious but still pleasant. This second meeting was the most important. Finally, a third meeting with an HR specialist, in addition to the two managers, focusing more specifically on the contract and its terms.
- What is your worst flaw.
Underwriting Assistant
The first interview was with HR and the Line Manager, and it went fine and was very fair. The second interview with another team member was a bit strange because new requirements suddenly appeared that weren't in the job ad or mentioned in the first interview. The really bad part, though, is that I never heard back after the final interview, and my emails asking about the status were just ignored. A month later, I applied for a similar role and was invited for an interview again. And again, I never heard anything back from them. So, it seems like a pattern with their HR team.
- Can you give me an overview of your resume?
- What makes you believe you'd be a suitable candidate for this role?
- Describe an instance where you provided support to the underwriting team.
Souscripteur Assurances
I had a first 10-min call with a recruitment agency that found me on Linkedin. Then, a 45-min video call with the same agency to check if I was a good fit for the job. After that, I had a 1-hour in-person interview at the company with the HR manager and the agency director. They said I'd get quick feedback by end of May, but after chasing the agency, I learned I wasn't selected. They couldn't tell me why, but promised feedback (it's been over 2 weeks now). Too bad, the company and role seemed exciting and I was treated well, with a calm interview atmosphere. Especially since Helvetia France is a Top Employer 2023, I find their recruitment process doesn't reflect that well.
- Can you explain your interest in Helvetia and the insurance industry?
- What kind of management style or manager do you prefer?
- What types of people do you find it difficult to work with?
