They looked at my resume and the interviewer was really rude and condescending. When I asked questions, they'd just say it was in the ad or on their blog. Didn't seem like a great work culture. They said they'd move to the next step but never did, which was unprofessional.

I first filled out an online application which had basic questions and a small coding problem. Then, I was contacted for remote video interviews. I first spoke with someone who I think is the manager, then a developer. The interviews had good questions, and the interviewers were nice. After passing, I had a remote video call with HR. The next step was a software project to be submitted and evaluated. If I passed that, I would have interviewed with another developer and then a CTO/VP IT. The project took longer than advertised, and I also had some family issues, so I didn't finish everything. I took shortcuts and wrote experimental modules, thinking they wanted to see my thought process, but I was mostly wrong. I think they wanted a complete, clean project that showed mastery of the technology. I failed the project part, and that was it. The developer gave me good feedback. I'd recommend applying, but make sure to set aside enough time to complete the project well.

The take home project was pretty simple, and I actually did more than what was asked. But I was told I didn't have enough tests, even though I had tests for every service and controller. It felt like they expected a perfect, production-ready project with extensive testing, but claimed it would only take 6 hours, which is totally unrealistic given those requirements. The interview and project itself were easy, but their expectations were just not reasonable.
