The interview process was smooth and well-structured. The HR department is very cooperative and supportive throughout. The entire selection process takes at least two weeks to complete, including two rounds of technical interviews assessing both core knowledge and problem-solving skills.

the interview was pretty easy and not hard at all. I got ready by checking out the company's values and common questions for the job. It was a one-on-one video call. I talked with the hiring manager and a senior engineer, and they were both super friendly. They asked me about my experience with drilling tech, how I manage projects, and how I deal with tough situations.

So, first I had an HR call to chat about my background, visa stuff, and my technical experience. Then it was three interviews. The first two were tech interviews. The first one was all about CS stuff like APIs, design, databases, and programming ideas like higher-order functions. After that, I had to code in Java, doing a Leetcode Medium problem, a variant of Decode String. The second tech interview was more about Java, Spring Boot, my past projects, and how I built APIs. This was pretty short, like 15-20 mins, and then they gave me two more Leetcode Medium problems, one like Reverse Words in a String and another like Word Break. The last interview was a panel interview, and it was super tough. They drilled me with questions about past situations, how I dealt with uncertainty and sudden project changes, my testing process, teamwork, and more. It was supposed to be an hour but flew by with question after question. I got to ask my questions at the end.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I went through the whole interview process for a principal network security engineer at Helmerich and Payne Inc. It was a pretty disappointing experience. They first told me about the job and what they expected, and leadership skills weren't mentioned at all. But after a few interviews, in the very last one, they suddenly said they wanted someone with strong leadership qualities, which was never brought up before. They even flew me to Tulsa, Oklahoma for that last interview and said they'd pay for everything. But when I got the reimbursement, it was only half of what they promised. I followed up a bunch of times, but they never sent the rest of the money. And now HR isn't replying to me about the reimbursement or if I'm getting the job. The final interview was also super awkward because one of the interviewers looked me up and down in a really unprofessional way, which felt like racial profiling. It made me wonder if they were even looking at my skills or judging me for other reasons. It's a bummer to spend time and money on something only for the expectations to change at the end and for them not to keep their promises. If they wanted leadership skills, they should have said so from the start. And they should have paid what they said they would. My advice for anyone else is to get everything in writing and make sure you know exactly what they expect upfront. It left me with a really bad impression of the company.
