First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Helios HR.
Apprentice
The interview process kicked off with an HR chat that went really well. It was mostly about my background, with some standard questions about why I'm interested in the company. They also threw in some behavioral and screening questions, including some scenario-based ones.
- Can you share an instance where you had to explain a financial concept to an individual without a finance or accounting background?
HR Consultant
The process started with a phone screen, then I had to answer some HR case studies. After that, I met with the team leads and had a quick chat with the President. Finally, I got a verbal offer and then a written one.
- Can you tell me about your strengths?
- What about your weaknesses?
Consultant
It started with a general screening interview, then a call with another consultant to chat about their experiences. After that, there was a written test that involved a case study, followed by interviews with the hiring managers. Overall, it was a pretty long process, with a few days in between each step.
- Can you share an experience of working with someone difficult?
- How would you describe your approach to work?
Human Resources Business Partner
This recruiting process was quite extensive, involving a total of 5 interviews. Initially, there were 4 phone interviews and then 1 in-person interview. Specifically, I spoke with a recruiting coordinator twice, the Director once, the CEO once, and then the Team Leads for the in-person interview. For the in-person stage, I was required to submit a 2-3 page bio, followed by a presentation round. While thoroughness is appreciated, it felt a bit excessive. Ultimately, after completing all 5 interviews, my salary expectations were not aligned with theirs, despite having communicated them from the beginning. This was disappointing, especially given my strong belief in the CEO's vision for authentic team members, a quality I felt I demonstrated from our first interaction.
- Can you describe the company culture?
- Were you able to be authentic during the process?
