First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HEICO.
Systems Engineer
The team was really nice and friendly, and the interview wasn't crazy difficult. It was a comfortable setting in a nice, clean office with a great location close to the tri-rail and I-95, and there was plenty of parking.
- Can you describe one of the hardest problems you've had to solve in any of your previous roles as an admin?
Materials Intern
The interview process began with a quick 15-minute phone screen, which is pretty standard. An HR person conducts it, mostly to see if you're a good fit to move on.
- What makes you want to intern at HEICO?
- Can you give me a short introduction about yourself?
- Describe a situation where you had to work with a challenging team member and how you handled it.
Internal Auditor
I had a 3-4 hour interview with Heico about a month back. They gave me a tour and explained the offer letter process, which made me hopeful. Before the interview, I had to explain a one-month gap in my employment due to a hiring freeze. After the interview, the recruiter called and was interested, but questioned the word 'well-deserved' on my resume, which another recruiter suggested. Then, I was ghosted despite reaching out. I think I dodged a bullet as this level of detail could mean nothing is ever good enough. I got a better offer two weeks later from another company that didn't care about such wording. I'm grateful for the experience but disappointed by the lack of basic courtesy like an email response.
- Did you leave your previous job voluntarily?
- Could you please elaborate on the reason for the one-month gap in your employment history?
- Could you provide context for using the phrase 'well-deserved' on your resume?
Project Engineer
I applied for this job in CA and the position was in GA. The first interview was a 30 min call with the engineering manager where they asked standard questions. The second interview was an all day in person event in GA, I flew across the country at my own expense. It was a friendly experience with the engineering manager and a senior engineer. The in person interview questions were much more thorough, including a mix of technical and situational questions. It was difficult because it was an all day activity and I had to be mentally prepared to answer any question.
- How would you establish the datums for this engine component, given your knowledge of GD&T?
