I had a few calls, then one screening interview, followed by two behavioral interviews and one case interview. I got the offer after that. The people I interacted with were nice and got back to me quickly. Overall, it was a good experience with no issues.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

My interview process with H&B was incredibly long, taking months to complete. It started with a recruiter, and then I had separate interviews with their new CFO, CEO, and a board member. Unexpectedly, they requested another round with the CEO and CFO for the final stage. During that last meeting, I got the impression the leadership team was unclear about their objectives and what they needed in a candidate. It also became apparent that their internal processes were disorganized and had been declining for years, despite having long-term staff. Based on these discoveries, I decided not to accept a position there, even if an offer was extended. The extended timeline for their decision-making process, even leading up to a potential offer, was also frustrating.

They said the whole thing would take about two hours, so I made sure to set aside enough time. It ended up being five hours, but I was okay with staying that long. I met a lot of the team during my interview. I had to fill out some paperwork, take some tests, and then I was interviewed by three different people. They verbally offered me the job right then and there, and a few people told me they were excited to have me join them and we talked about start dates. After the interview, I followed up with the team. It took them over a week to get back to me, and then I got an email late on a Friday evening. The email said they decided to go with someone else. It was a short, quick email, not a formal offer rescinding. The rest of the way they handled it was really unprofessional from the Hedley & Bennet team. I was super disappointed with their ethical standards. I've been through tons of interviews before, gotten offers or not gotten offers, and every company I've dealt with has been a great experience. I have a lot of respect for those other companies. Sadly, this situation made me lose respect for H&B as a whole.

Behavioral Presentation

I was brought in for an interview, given a tour of the factory, and then we had a relaxed conversation. I first met with HR to discuss the company's overall strategy and the details of available positions. Then, the CEO's Assistant joined us, and we discussed the day-to-day responsibilities and expectations of the role in more depth, as I would be working closely with the CEO. The process included a background check.
