I reached out to Heartland's internal recruiters several times to try and get an interview. After the first phone screen, I had 4 in-person interviews and 3 phone interviews. The whole process was pretty disorganized; sometimes I'd get notified the same day, asking if I could interview with whoever was in town that day on short notice.

The overall experience was awesome. The outcome and subsequent lies not so much. On 2 separate occasions at 2 different locations I ended the interview with one note less than signing on the dotted line! On both occasions the excuse came down to experience...not enough...wrong, they wanted 2 yrs I had 10 on the second not the right kind but the ad gave either or and I have 2 of the 3. At this point I think they are worthless employers. Kind of glad they didn't hire me. Obviously their morals are lacking.

Had two interviews that were on different days. The first one was with HR, who was really nice and easy to talk to. She was apparently the best in the region at her job. The second interview was with the Director of Nursing, but it felt kind of pointless because I already had a personal connection who spoke highly of me to her.

Applied online. Then had an interview at the facility with HR, and after that, I met with the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) and the Unit Manager. Once I got approval from both the ADON and the Unit Manager, they extended an offer.
