First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Heartland Bank, OH.
Human Resources Coordinator
My interviewers described Heartland and the position clearly, outlining the job expectations in a friendly manner. They asked how I would handle various work situations, and I left the interview feeling confident and at home at Heartland. I was thrilled to receive the job offer.
- What is your understanding of Heartland?
Intern
The first phone interview lasted about 20 minutes. It was very informative about the 10-week program and described the workplace culture as inclusive, especially for women. It was more behavioral questions than skill-based.
- Tell me about a project you worked on and explain your contribution and leadership within it.
Administrative
The interview process was really welcoming and organized. Everyone I talked to was nice and helpful, from the first phone screen all the way to the final interview. The main interview was with a group of decision-makers. It felt more like a chat than a tough interrogation. I felt comfortable and could explain how my skills would help the company. I also noticed that people seemed to really enjoy working at Heartland, which made me want the job even more.
- Could you tell me about your greatest strength?
Banker
I got a call back for an interview based on my past banking work. Then I came in and met with someone from HR and two people who were supposed to be my managers (btw, they got fired like two weeks after I would have been hired).
- Could you explain what a community bank is in your own words?
