The interview process was easy and helpful! Everyone I met set fair expectations for the job. They shared wins and were very realistic. I really appreciated how thorough the recruiter was. They answered all of my questions through the three part interview process.

Applied online via Linkedin and was contacted by a recruiter within a week. After a quick phone screening, I was invited for an in-person interview with two hiring managers. The initial contact with the recruiter Allison Crooks was great - she was friendly and easy to talk to. However, the in-person interview was not pleasant. I arrived about ten minutes early and was shown around the office. Then I was taken to a side room that seemed unused for a long time - it was dusty, chairs were out of place, and there was writing on the board. The interviewers were nice, but it felt more like an interrogation about why I thought I should be hired at Shogun. They spent most of the time explaining how difficult the job is and that most people don't perform as expected. I get that an interview is meant to sell yourself, but I felt they had already decided about me before I even arrived. I never heard back, which felt rude after spending over an hour in an in-person interview. Overall, it was a negative experience; the interviewers seemed unprepared, rude, and had a condescending attitude.

I had a scheduled video interview, but first I was told to complete a 10-minute computer literacy aptitude test. It covered basic things like sending emails, copy-pasting, and using Google, with questions about which buttons to click for specific functions. The interviewer no-showed, so I emailed to check what was happening. The next day, she emailed back saying I failed the test. It's ridiculous that a 10-question test determines if they'll even show up to a scheduled interview, especially when I'm a computer science major who knows coding and has built PCs. She then offered to proceed with the interview anyway to discuss the position, but I declined and withdrew my interest.
