First, it was a Zoom call, a pretty simple process where they just went over my experience. Then, there was a second in-person interview about a week later. In a couple of days, I got a call with a job offer.

I saw some bad reviews about AccuQuest but I figured I could do well there since I'm a good salesperson. So, I went ahead and did the hour-long survey that tests sales skills. After the initial phone screen, interviews are done over Skype. I spoke with a recruiter, then a sales manager, and finally the VP of sales. My last two interviews were back-to-back. I was expecting another interview right after those, but I got a job offer by email instead. Just a heads-up about the offer itself – be sure you know what you're signing! They really try to take advantage of you. They might see it as normal business, but it was pretty shocking to me. They try to pinch pennies on everything during negotiations, so get ready to stand your ground and possibly decline. For example: 1. Insurance: They claim to offer it but don't help with costs at all. Their family plan is way more expensive than what you can find elsewhere. 2. Sick/Vacation days: The offer letter says it's 'according to the employee handbook,' but when I asked to see it, they said it's against policy. So, you have to negotiate this if you want any time off. 3. Relocation: They say they'll pay for your move. Sounds good at first, but it wasn't in my offer. It took a week of chasing them to get them to offer standard corporate relocation assistance. Every time I asked for something, they'd agree, but the revised contract always had some loophole or error that wasn't in my favor regarding relocation. They were really cheap about it. After a week of sorting out relocation details, I turned down their offer because of how stingy they were. Only then did they offer more money, but it still wasn't enough to make up for the poor health insurance. So frustrating!

I talked to a recruiter in person at a convention, then later I spoke with the area manager (who is a hearing aid dispenser) on the phone. I felt like I didn't learn much about the actual position because the area manager hadn't worked in that specific office. The interview process was pretty fast, but they didn't do a great job of "selling" the role or company to me.

The hiring manager asked me questions about my past experiences. They kept interrupting me while I was answering and spoke negatively about other team members. The conversation felt one-sided, and they didn't seem genuinely curious to learn more about me.
