Data Engineer
I interviewed for a data engineer role at HealthVerity and it was a great experience. They are really innovative and data-focused. The team was super knowledgeable and supportive, making it easy and fun.
- Can you explain your interest in HealthVerity and elaborate on your past experiences?
- What about your experience makes you a good fit for this role?
Data Engineer
So I had this recruiter call first, and that went pretty smoothly. After that, I was given a take-home test that probably took me a good few hours to complete. They mentioned you usually get feedback pretty quickly after submitting it. But then... nothing. I followed up, and still no word back. It's kind of frustrating when you put in personal time for an assessment and don't even get basic feedback. Honestly, reading other reviews, it seems like I might have avoided a bad situation.
- Can you discuss your previous work experience?
- Standard questions typically asked by recruiters.
Senior Data Engineer
The interview process started with a recruiter phone screen, followed by an interview with the hiring manager. After that, there was a take-home technical assessment. Then, I had an interview to discuss the technical assessment and my skills. This was followed by a panel interview and finally a CTO interview. The whole process spanned about two months, with the pace really slowing down towards the end. When they extended a verbal offer, it was significantly lower than my requested salary, not even close to my current compensation, and the benefits package was worse, lacking a 401k match. I had clearly stated my salary expectations and my reasons for them from the beginning, justifying the ask based on my current pay. It felt like a waste of time and insulting to go through so many interview stages only to be lowballed. They made no effort to negotiate.
- Can you tell me about the technology stacks you have experience with?
