It was a long interview process, but I learned a lot about the company. The team was good at communicating and warned me upfront that it might take a while. It showed me they are thorough and care about who they hire. In the end, it was a great fit, and I think it's because of how carefully they handled the process.

First, I had a call with HR where they asked me about my background and schooling. Then, about a week later, I had a 1-hour virtual meeting with the hiring manager. We talked about the role's details, and it was a good chat about my experience as it relates to the job. After that, there was a 2-hour in-person meeting with the team, which took place three weeks later because of scheduling.

The interview was personable. They wanted to see if I'd be a good fit with the current employees and if my work ethics matched theirs. They also asked about the kind of growth I'd like to see. They want to see employees grow in knowledge not just in their department but are willing to encourage branching out to other departments for further growth.

I got to the building about 15 minutes early. Once I met with the recruiter, we ended up waiting for 30 minutes for the person who was supposed to interview me. The way the presentation and the rest of the interview were handled was really disappointing. The whole thing lasted about 45 minutes, with all that waiting beforehand. Seriously?
