First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Healthmap Solutions.
Clinical Care Manager
The hiring process felt quite lengthy, and the communication throughout wasn't the best. It started with a quick and easy call with the recruiter. Then, I had two more interviews, one with the hiring manager and another with directors. These all wrapped up within three weeks. After that, it went quiet for over a month. When I followed up about a decision, I was told I was still being considered and that someone would reach out, which took another two weeks. While the salary and PTO were ultimately what made me accept, the communication was generally lacking, and it seems that's a continuing theme in the role.

Workforce Operations Manager
The interview process kicked off with a recruiter screening. After that, I had a conversation with the hiring manager, who is an AVP. During that meeting, it was mentioned that I would be meeting with more stakeholders. Subsequently, three meetings were arranged with different SVPs and a VP. About a week after those discussions wrapped up, I was scheduled to meet with another stakeholder, a Director. To wrap up the interview journey, I had a final meeting with the COO. I genuinely enjoyed all the interactions I had with the team. The work Healthmap is doing is significant and rewarding, which made me enthusiastic about each stakeholder conversation. However, as the process progressed, getting timely follow-ups became more challenging. The entire process spanned approximately 2.5 months. During the later stages, I received another job offer from a different company. While it wasn't my top choice due to my interest in Healthmap's mission, I didn't want to miss that chance, so I accepted it. I understand the importance of finding the right match, and I acknowledge that I lacked prior healthcare experience. Ultimately, I determined that I wasn't the ideal candidate for them, but I valued all the conversations and gained a lot of insights. I wish them the best in their search!

Business Owner
The recruiter reached out and we had a first video chat. Then I was invited to three separate 45-minute interviews. The first one was with the hiring manager (head of the department) and the person who previously held the role but is still at HealthMap. The last two interviews were with the VP of operations and the VP of client services. All of them seemed to go well. The role itself was not clearly defined. All in all, the process wasn't difficult. BUT, after personally speaking with 5 different people, I received the standard ATS rejection email saying, "After careful consideration, we regret to inform you that we will not be moving forward with your candidacy for this position." Honestly, a generic rejection after personal talks is not okay. I think the company's low review scores might be partly because of how they treat current employees and potential hires, who are also potential customers. This experience left a bad impression of the company.

Health Coach
I had a phone interview first, then a video interview. They emailed me a time for the video interview after the phone screen, but didn't ask if it worked for me. Then I got an email canceling it, and another email with a new time. I rearranged my schedule and got childcare sorted. Then, 10 minutes before the interview, they sent an email canceling it again, saying they couldn't do it and I'd have to reschedule. When I said I couldn't reschedule for a different day, they suddenly could do the original time, and the interview started 5 minutes later. It was very unprofessional and disorganized. I set aside my whole day for a time that was inconvenient for me, and for them to tell me it was canceled before actually doing it really made me lose interest. My time is valuable.
