Researcher
So, I went through multiple rounds of interviews. It began with HR, then a phone screening with the VP. After that, there were group panel interviews via video call, and finally, a one-on-one onsite interview. The whole process was pretty smooth, and they communicated timelines as they said they would. The questions they asked were really spot on with the job and what I'd be doing.
- Could you share your experience working with real-world data?
- Tell me about the studies you've participated in, including the study designs and any limitations.
- Can you describe a challenge you faced in your research and how you overcame it?
Research Analyst
i went through four interviews; the first was with HR, the second was with their senior director, who was very nice and knowledgeable. the third interview was with a panel of four, and the last one was an onsite interview. the third and fourth interviews were more of a 'muscle show' and sometimes they were aggressive in asking questions. No hard questions though, just the normal stuff like questions about cox models for time to event outcomes, GLM with gamma distribution for modeling costs. Their culture is aggressive, which you can tell by how they ask questions and the low pay compared to similar positions at other companies. It's worse that they want to hire PhD graduates as analysts when many fresh MS graduates are hired as analysts. From their long and exhausting interview process, you can tell they wanted to get the most talented analysts but aren't willing to pay them fairly based on market value. By the end of their interview round, I got an email from HR saying they are interested, but I haven't received an offer.
- prepare the usual stuff, linear, logistic, cox and propensity score matching
Real World Evidence Director
It was handled very professionally. Started with an initial phone screen, then a face-to-face with HR, followed by a 'trilogy' with three senior people, and finally an interview with two other fairly senior individuals. The role at Healthcore involves overseeing a 'collaboration' between AstraZeneca and Healthcore focused on outcomes after drug release in real-world settings, outside of controlled clinical trials.
- Tell me about your strategic approach to managing collaborations for real-world post-drug release outcomes.
- How do you approach keeping key stakeholders, like AstraZeneca, happy when they are funding projects?
- Considering AstraZeneca's funding, how do you manage project direction to ensure their satisfaction?
Project Manager
I saw the job posting online at Anthem and applied. A recruitment coordinator reached out and set up the interview. I thought I was interviewing with Anthem, but then I found out HealthCore was a subsidiary, which was confusing. I had an initial screening with a HealthCore manager. Later, I had a panel interview with three ladies and the manager from the screening. It was really awkward; none of them smiled or introduced themselves properly. They didn't seem interested in talking to me, and I almost ended the call. It felt like they were the 'mean girls' mentioned in another review.
- Can you describe your communication style?
- Tell me about a difficult situation you faced and how you communicated with your project team.
