So on the day of the interview, you'll take a numeracy, literacy, and typing test, as well as a quick analytic skills test since those are important for the call center role. After that, you'll have a face-to-face interview. If you get hired, there's a two-week training period, and each Friday of that training is a test day. Passing these tests determines if you move forward.

Technical Case

The interview was okay, I answered about 80% of the questions and the interviewer didn't really push back on any of my answers. After the interview, there was no follow-up from HR for two weeks. I tried following up and they said the interviewer was travelling, making excuses. After three more days, they finally said the role was closed. I emailed them back saying it was the worst experience and their loss for losing a great opportunity.

The interview process was actually quite nice. They were polite and the questions were thoughtful and relevant to the role. I went through a few different individuals in the finance team. I did like the team and the company seemed pretty interesting to me. However they made the decision to try to pass a lowball offer to me, which I obviously declined, as it was about 30% below market, and 20% below what I was already making at the time, which was a shock to me since I actually disclosed this information to them prior to the interview. My advice to management is do some market research on salaries before sending out an offer letter. That's not a good way to start off a relationship.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process was fine. First a recruiter, then hiring manager then data analysis. However, during the first conversation with the recruiter I was told that my salary expectations could be met. Fast forward to when they gave me an offer, it was $35k less than what I currently make and the equity they offered was extremely low. In my response to their offer I brought up the massive decrease in my pay and how it was discussed during the initial conversation in the process. 8 days later I received the following response "We believe you're a strong and ideal candidate for the position, however, we, unfortunately, are unable to negotiate on the offer that was extended at this time." Now this leads me to two questions. 1. Wouldn't it of been better and more productive for everyone involved if you mentioned you couldn't meet my salary expectations in the initial phone call? 2. Why in the world would you expect someone to take a $35K deduction in their pay and offer then barely any equity? Overall the experience was a complete waste of time and extremely unprofessional. If they treat their candidates like this I would hate to see how they treat their employees.
