Project Manager
So, I told the recruiter I was available, but then didn't hear anything back until I followed up that same day. Then, suddenly, an interview was set up with the recruiter's boss. This person said my resume would go to their client, which sounded good. But then, right after, the recruiter told me I wasn't a good fit. It was weird how the feedback changed so fast and nobody was really clear about anything. It felt disorganized and inconsistent, especially since transparency matters a lot for a good candidate experience.
- Can you tell me about your past work experience?
Project Manager
After all interview rounds, I was contacted by HR for salary negotiation. They even sent the CTC breakup. After I accepted and confirmed, HR stopped responding to calls, SMS, or emails. I am surprised by HCL's behavior, especially for a senior profile. At least they could have said it's on hold. Disappearing is not good. Glad this happened before joining. I will never join HCL again.
- Can you elaborate on basic project management principles?
- Given my 15 years of experience, can you discuss your expectations for this role?
- Are you familiar with standard interview panels and question creativity?
Project Manager
The interview process was good because it included both technical and process-related questions. The questions were tough and the interview was long and detailed. Overall, it was a professional experience, and I got exposure to a manager-level interview.
- There were some questions asked about migration.
