First, there was an online aptitude test with medium-difficulty questions. After that, an online group discussion where you had to speak for 2 minutes on a given topic. If you passed those, you'd move to a technical interview online. If you cleared that, the next interview would be offline.

So I recently went through the HCL recruitment process, which basically had two parts: an Aptitude Test and then a Group Discussion (GD). The Aptitude Test had questions that were kinda in the middle difficulty-wise, covering stuff like quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and verbal ability. It was important to manage your time well to get through all the questions. For the Group Discussion, the topic was about current trends, and they wanted us to share our opinions clearly and respectfully. I think what helped me stand out was actively listening and communicating in a structured way. The whole process felt well-organized, and I got selected based on how I did in both rounds. My advice would be to prepare for both speed and also for expressing yourself clearly.

So, I went through the recruitment process for the Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) role at HCL. It has involved two rounds so far: first, an Aptitude Test focusing on quantitative, logical reasoning, and basic programming, which was moderately difficult and needed good time management. Then, a Group Discussion (GD) where we had to discuss a current topic in small groups, and they looked at our communication, clarity, confidence, and teamwork. The process was pretty smooth and organized, and the recruiters were nice and made us feel comfortable. I'm now waiting for the results and the upcoming Technical and HR interviews. My advice: ace the aptitude (especially logical and quant), be ready with current topics for GD, and speak up confidently.
