The interview process involved behavioral questions and interviews with a panel of staff from various departments, plus the person I'd report to. HR was also part of the standard procedure.

Behavioral Presentation

Had lunch with some c-suite execs. They talked more about themselves than asking about me. Then the CFO had to leave for another meeting and the interview just sort of ended. The hiring manager showed up and that was the end of the day. I think I might have messed up a really important question but I have no clue which one. Got rejected the next business day, but the job is still open.

Behavioral Technical

I applied and got an email for a phone interview two weeks later. The day before it was scheduled, they called me three times to set up an onsite interview. I scheduled it and got a confirmation email. When I got there, I waited about 10-15 minutes before an interviewer took me aside while walking and started asking questions. They took me to where I'd work, then to another area to meet someone else. It turned out they were disorganized; neither person knew I was scheduled for an interview, and the other interviewer never showed up. The person I spoke with said I'd have to work PRN, which was different from the part-time role I applied for. They gave me a job summary and asked if I was interested, which I found odd. They took my name and resume to review and told me to check my application status. They said recruiters wanted to move forward, but it felt like they weren't expecting me. They didn't hire me, and I'm okay with that. The experience soured me on the hospital and HR. My advice is to contact interviewers directly before your interview to avoid a similar situation. I love the medical field and hope to bring positive changes.
