Haymex Interview Questions
& Process

I got to the office and signed in at the front desk. I then waited in the waiting room with about 10 other people. Not everyone there was interviewing with Haymex. I got there early and waited for about 20 minutes before being called in. The interview itself was pretty short, about 5-10 minutes, and I felt like it went well. The interviewer didn't really explain the job clearly though, and I didn't get a good sense of what I'd actually be doing. He mainly talked about how they're looking for people they can promote to management quickly. I was asked to come back for a second interview on Monday. But after looking into the company more and seeing what other people went through for similar roles, I decided not to go.

This interview was really all over the place. They didn't even ask about my past experience, and then told me my skills weren't right for the job but asked if I'd consider training for it. They threw in random questions like who I'd want to have dinner with, dead or alive, and if I'd ever met celebrities in New York. Then, out of nowhere, they said they were willing to move me from an entry-level role to a manager position because they urgently need 200 managers company-wide. When I tried to get details about the manager role, the interviewer was really vague and didn't clearly explain the company's objectives. She couldn't even describe what the company does without using really general phrases. She also didn't offer for me to ask any questions. The whole thing was over in about five minutes, even though I had to wait 30 minutes past our scheduled time.

I applied online. I interviewed at Haymex (New York, NY) in December 2016. I waited in the lobby with 6 other candidates. Several companies share a lobby, I think they are 'sister companies'. I got 2 interviews on the day, I didn't realize they were at the same place when I got there. The interview process was very short, I didn't really get a chance to talk. The whole process was very confusing.

This was a new, fresh, and worthwhile experience. As a leader, I felt I demonstrated my leadership immediately when I went into the field. The interview showed me this job is something that I will work for at my own pace and get results by the amount of work I put in.
