First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham.
General Manager
The interview process was handled in a very professional manner. They respected me as a future employee and any concerns i may have had about the job. It was a pleasant interview overall.
- Can you tell me about your experience in this field?
Front Desk Agent
I had two interviews with managers at Hawthorn Suites, each on a different day. The managers were really nice and chill. They asked me about my past, my experience, and skills that would be useful. They also wanted to know if I was interested in customer service and what my plans were for the future in hospitality.
- Can you share a time you dealt with a difficult or impatient customer and explain how you managed the situation?
Maintenance
The whole process was super quick. After I sent in my resume, I got interviewed right away by the main maintenance guy and the hotel owner on site. They hit me with some basic questions about my skills and what I've done. After that, they sent me off. I got a call later that day and they offered me the job.
- Are you familiar with changing a fixture's ballast from T8 to T12?
Guest Service Agent
The interview environment was really welcoming and felt like home. The General Manager was nice and polite, nothing about him was off-putting or rude. The whole thing took about 30 minutes and the questions were pretty basic.
- What makes you want to pursue a career in hospitality?
