First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hawkins Parnell & Young.
Attorney
i interviewed with multiple partners about my past experiences, duties, and any difficulties i've faced, and they also reviewed a writing sample. the interview was in-person at their office. it wasn't too long, maybe short to moderate. the partners were nice and didn't make me feel nervous.
- What aspects of litigation do you find most rewarding?
File Clerk
I interviewed with HR first, then I spoke with an attorney and a couple of paralegals. The interview itself was okay, pretty simple, but they were really unprofessional afterward and didn't reply to my follow-up emails or calls.
- Tell me about your strengths and weaknesses.
Paralegal
The attorney I spoke with was really nice and made scheduling the interview simple. I ended up meeting with four attorneys on the day of the interview. They all seemed well-informed and mentioned they liked working at the firm. The office environment felt relaxed, and even though the space was small, it was organized well. It was a pretty standard interview process overall. Unfortunately, I didn't hear back after the interview.
- Tell me about your background and experience.
- What motivated you to apply for this specific paralegal position?
- Could you share what you consider to be your main professional strengths and areas for improvement?
Associate
It was a pretty intimidating interview process for me. I spoke with a partner in the Atlanta office, and she had a very serious demeanor, not smiling or laughing much. She asked some pretty tough questions.
- How do you reconcile your initial motivation for law school, which was social justice, with your current aspiration to work in corporate law?
