First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hawkins.
Business Analyst
First, I spoke with a recruiter from an outside agency. We chatted briefly about my background and they asked me some questions about my interest in the role, if I thought I was a good fit, and so on. I heard back the next day, but unfortunately, they had already hired someone else.
- What is it about this role that excites you the most?
Logistics Analyst
The interview process used to be lengthy, but now it's just a simple phone call followed by an in-person interview. Sometimes, multiple managers conduct back-to-back in-person interviews. They try to schedule interviews around your availability, and sometimes they're at the end of the day.
- Can you describe a time you dealt with a challenging customer?
Accounts Payable Specialist
Applied on their website and had a screening interview about 10 days later. Then had an in-person interview four days after that. I interviewed with two sets of two people on the same day because some people were out of the office for different reasons. The interview seemed to go well, as my experience matched what they were looking for. Many of the skills they sought were things I had just been doing in my previous job. After the interview, there was no communication. I was ghosted. It's weird because the job posting is still up on all the job boards.
- Have you previously worked in a high-volume setting?
Software Engineer
This was such an odd experience because it felt like a scam. I was just sent a Word document and asked to answer the questions on it in under an hour and a half. Once I completed that, I was given an offer the same day. I am still awaiting their response from me asking to speak to HR, but I fear I was scammed.
