I had an initial call with the recruiter. The second part was a video interview with two managers. After that, the recruiter told me I didn't get the job. A week later, he contacted me again because the other candidate turned down the offer, and asked if I was still interested. I said yes and asked why I wasn't chosen initially. He said there were minor differences between me and the preferred candidate. Following a conversation, he said they would send an offer. However, after I asked for a small raise, they said finance needed to approve it, and then they ghosted me. I followed up several times, but the recruiter never responded, which left a bad impression.
