The process begins with a casual group lunch. Be ready to share a lot during the meal, even though the hiring team is small. For GM/EC roles, the interview takes place on-site. It's elaborate but fun.

It was a pretty standard interview process. Started with HR, then I talked to the person I would have been assisting, and the final round was a group interview. Overall, it was a very typical interview experience.

I first met with one of the GMs for a casual chat. Then a second GM came in and asked me more formal questions and my availability to start.

I was really excited about interviewing for this restaurant but honestly, everyone should look somewhere else. They are so unprofessional and disorganized. I interviewed two times at two different spots. First interview was in early August for the Orlando place. I got an email to set a date and time. I was set to interview before they opened at 9 am. I got there and nobody was in the restaurant. The interviewer totally forgot about me. Back of house was prepping and it took me a bit to get their attention to see what was up. A cook said they didn't know about any interviews this morning but would call someone to let them know I was there. She said to wait. Finally, 40 minutes later, way past my scheduled time, someone showed up. It wasn't even the person who was supposed to interview me. They were super blah, probably didn't want to be there. He finished with a lot of empty promises and said I'd hear back. Never did. Second experience was for the Windermere location in late August. I got an email from a hiring manager to interview for a Hostess job, which wasn't what I applied for. I corrected him and we set up a date and time. I went in at 3 pm to interview with another hiring manager. When I got there, the hostesses gave me the most unfriendly looks. I was told I had to wait because the hiring manager was in a meeting. Right... When he was ready, the very first thing he asked was if I was interviewing for a bartender position. Again, I had to correct them. He skimmed my resume, asking about my availability and current work schedule. He asked about my serving experience. I told him I could only work evenings, which was on my application. His face fell and he said, 'I’m so sorry. We mostly need AM servers. We need people for lunch shifts.' He kept going while trying to find my application on his laptop. I stayed quiet, feeling pretty annoyed since I didn't do anything wrong and he wouldn't even give me the time of day. I knew I was clear about my availability on my application but no one even reviewed my info. He finally found my application and his face fell more. 'Oh... I see here. You did put evenings for availability. I’m so so so so sorry to waste your time and make you drive all this way for this to last 5 minutes. You have a great resume with lots of experience and we’d love to have you but that availability... Here, let me buy you lunch.' By then, I was too upset and declined the free food. This company burned that bridge ages ago. He gave me his card and said, 'My personal cell is on here. If your availability changes, call me.' Give me a break. I won't work for a company that's this unprofessional, rude, and inconsiderate to candidates. Look elsewhere.
