I had a nice interview with the hiring manager and was then scheduled for another interview with them. But a few hours before that, I found out the position was filled. It was disappointing, but these things happen. The recruiter had warned me that others were further along, so I understood. The role was posted again 3 days later. I contacted the recruiter twice to see if the first candidate fell through and if I could still be considered, but I never heard back and felt ghosted, especially after they told me to 'Keep In Touch'. Some follow-up or explanation would have been appreciated, particularly since I was moving forward initially.

The interview process was pretty standard. It started with a recruiter screen, then a chat with the hiring manager, followed by a skip-level manager chat. The final stage was a full-day onsite interview with a cross-functional panel, which included the co-founder, marketing, product, engineering, and design teams. No presentation was needed. What was really great was how genuine and kind everyone was, making me feel like I was talking to old friends and that I belonged. It was clear everyone loves working there, which made me want to join. The recruiters, Sara and Lisa, were amazing, keeping me updated and answering all my questions. They even arranged an extra chat with the CEO, who was both inspiring and down-to-earth. It was definitely an above-and-beyond interview experience!

It was pretty straightforward: first a recruiter phone screen, then a chat with the Hiring Manager, followed by an interview with the VP of Product, and finally a virtual interview loop. The recruiters were really nice and gave me tons of useful info to get ready. I have to share this really bad experience I had during the virtual loop though. One of the company leaders took two personal calls while I was on Zoom with him, and he made me wait a few minutes each time. It was super rude and disrespectful, especially since he kept talking about the company's values the whole time. Maybe he needs a reminder that before bragging about culture and values, there's a basic level of respect you should show when interviewing someone.
