First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HashedIn by Deloitte.
Trainee Engineer
The interview process was super clear and laid out nicely for hiring a software developer. They skipped any quantitative or aptitude questions and just went straight for coding skills and conceptual understanding, which I really liked. To start, they picked about 1100 students from my college based on resumes. Then, there was a coding test on their platform, kinda like HirePro, held on campus with supervision. It had 3 coding problems. After that, there were 3 interview rounds: L1 was for DSA and React, L2 was for System Design (this is where I was eliminated), and L3 was the HR round.
- Medium difficulty LeetCode questions on arrays and strings, specifically those leveraging knowledge of maps and prefix sums.
- Design system diagrams (UML, entity, class) for applications like IRCTC, Book My Show, or a library management system, followed by creating tables and writing SQL queries involving multiple joins.
- Questions related to creating tables and writing queries with multiple joins.
Trainee Engineer
Overall a positive experience, with 4 rounds in total. It started with a coding test (3 questions: easy, medium, hard) done on campus. Then there were 3 interviews also on campus: 2 technical and 1 managerial. The technical interviews covered my projects, SQL queries, networks, and some coding questions. The managerial interview was about seeing if I'd fit into the company.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What is the difference between SQL and NoSQL?
- Can you explain one of your projects?
Trainee Engineer
Applied through campus pool and underwent an online assessment round on campus. 19 candidates were shortlisted for technical interviews and invited to the Bengaluru office for face-to-face interviews, which proceeded smoothly.
- Could you please dry run the code and explain your understanding of DSA?
- Can you tell us about the projects you've mentioned?
- Do you have any general questions about your resume?
