Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hasbro.
Associate Brand Manager
First there was a recruiter call, then a 30 minute interview with the manager. If selected to move on, there would be a third interview with other team members.
- How do you keep yourself updated on societal and consumer brand trends?
Brand Manager
I was first contacted by HR via email. We scheduled a call for the next day, which lasted about 30 minutes. I basically talked about my experience in the field and got more information about the company's general benefits, but the person didn't have many details about the specific role. A few days later, I had another interview, this time with the Department Director. This interview was online and lasted about 40 minutes. I was asked general background questions, but I felt she wasn't paying much attention to my answers, even asking a question about something I had just mentioned. Finally, she said they would get back to me within two weeks, which didn't happen. I sent an email asking if the position was still available and was ignored.
- How familiar are you with data analysis tools?
- Can you discuss your past project experiences?
Brand Manager
It kicked off with an HR Phone Screen. Then, I came in for approximately five hours of interviews with six different people. The interviewers were tough but fair – they each clearly had a list of questions to get through, so it was very formal. After my in-person interview, I never heard back from anyone regarding my candidacy. I followed up with the HR Recruiter and others I met with at least a dozen times via email and phone/voicemail, but could never get a response. I can obviously take a hint that I didn't get the job, but how about treating me like a human? Pure class, Hasbro.
