It started with a phone screening, and then I had an in-person interview. They really dug deep to check out my skills. I had to answer a bunch of questions and give examples of what I could do.

The first step was a phone interview that went pretty well. After that, they sent me an online test, which I thought was a bit of a waste of time since I'd been looking for a job for ages and no one else had asked for a test. I passed it, naturally. Then, they emailed saying they wanted me to come in for an in-person interview. Unfortunately, the follow-up with the hiring contact was so bad that I decided not to go. Their loss, really, since I have a lot of experience in administration, especially with a real estate investment property management company.

The first round was a phone interview. Then there was a 1.5 to 2 hour interview with 3 groups: 2 people from property accounting, 2 from corporate accounting, and the controller. The final round was a 1 hour test, which was an easy multiple choice for English, math, and personality. I would have preferred an Excel test to show my accounting skills though.
