First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Harvard Bioscience.
Technical Support Engineer
I had a phone screening with a senior technical support person to make sure I was qualified. Then, I had an in-person interview with people from HR, engineering, tech support, and manufacturing.
- How has your previous experience prepared you for this role?
- Tell me about a time you handled a difficult situation at your last job.
Software Engineer
First you do an online interview, then they invite you to meet the team and learn more about the offered position. You get a room tour and they really take time to explain their products and your potential future part in them.
- What's motivating your job change?
- Can you describe a significant challenge you've faced?
Manager
The process started with a recruiter screen. Then, I had an in-person interview with the role holder and the manager. It lasted several hours and included a tour of the facility. There was no involvement from HR or future colleagues. The recruiter provided feedback quickly, and HR extended an offer soon after.
- What makes you want to join this company?
Finance Professional
I talked to four people, and it was all pretty chill and welcoming. They were laid back but still professional, and they really wanted to hear about my finance background. They also kept it real and clear about what the job entailed and what they needed. Each person I spoke with took the time to share their ideas for the department and how the role I was interviewing for would help get the department to its goals.
- Are you someone who learns quickly and how fast can you get acquainted with the systems?
