& Process

I interviewed with a panel for a post-bar fellowship and then again for an ADA position after passing the Bar. It was a standard interview process. They seemed more focused on my personality, teamwork abilities, and capacity to manage a heavy workload. I was asked to prepare a closing argument for the end of my interview. I got a conditional offer but decided to pursue a different opportunity.

The whole interview process was pretty good. I liked how direct the panel interview was. They asked me about my past work, my schooling, and my future career goals. They really seemed to care about whether I could be understanding, adaptable, and a good team player. I applied one day and got a call back about four days later for an interview the next week. They also had me fill out a background waiver so they could check my history the day after that. The next week, I heard from the investigator, who was really nice and called now and then to confirm details. Like some other folks mentioned, having a contact inside the company seems to help. I'm still waiting on the background check results and will update when I hear anything.

Applied online and waited about 1-2 months to hear back. The interview was about an hour long over Zoom, discussing the job and my qualifications. There were many people coming and going on the Zoom, but I always had the main interviewers' attention. It took another 2 months to hear back after the Zoom interview. Then, it was another month until I received an offer. The whole process took around 4-5 months. Everyone was nice though.

Your interview will involve giving a short closing argument for a mock DWI trial. If you're not from Houston, they'll ask why you're interested in the city. You can also expect questions about your desire to work in prosecution. My interview had about six people and was conducted over Zoom.
