Technical Coding

There were three interview rounds. The first round was conducted virtually and focused heavily on core Java basics. It's recommended to review every small detail of core Java as they ask about everything. The first round mainly covered core Java questions, including topics like system.out.println(), functional and marker interfaces, lambda expressions, static vs. instance variables, var variables, polymorphism, exception handling (try-with-resources, try block), differences between List and Set, ArrayList, basic Spring Boot annotations (@RestController vs. @Controller), and Hibernate.

Confirmed questions8 questions
  • Regarding core Java, what is system.out.println()?
  • Can you explain functional and marker interfaces and also lambda expressions?
  • What distinguishes static variables from instance variables, and what are var variables?

Behavioral Technical

The interview process was really easy and everyone was really friendly. It had two main parts: first, some behavioral questions about why you want the job and stuff, and second, technical questions focused on accounting.

  • Could you share your main strengths and any weaknesses you have?
  • What makes you want to work in this role?

It was convoluted, absent-minded, confusing, and misdirected. It went for over seven rounds. They initially reached out to me about a position they had open. After three rounds, I found myself following up with them. Then, someone completely new contacted me about a different role. Out of everyone I met, one person really stood out as a star.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Imagine the most complex scientific question possible, and then frame it from a marketing professional's perspective.

I had a recruiter round, then an online take-home assessment. After that, there was a tech interview with 4 people, followed by a behavioural interview. They actually interviewed me for two roles, Data Integrity Analyst and Data Engineer. For the first role, they said I didn't have enough experience and specifically mentioned a lack of .NET experience. This was odd because I didn't list .NET on my resume, but they still interviewed me for another position focusing on ASP.NET. Ultimately, I was rejected for not having .NET experience, which felt like the team wasn't paying attention to my resume or the company's broader direction.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Could you tell me about basic data integrity concepts?
  • Do you have any experience with ASP.NET?
  • Tell me about yourself / any behavioural questions.
