Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HarperCollins.
Marketing
I had a 40-minute Zoom interview with three employees. We talked about my background, what I'm seeking, and what they're seeking. It went well. It would be better if they treated their publishers better.
- Tell me about a situation where you used data to resolve a client's issue.
Marketing Assistant
I applied online and got a call a few days later. First, I had a phone chat with someone from HR. Then, I went in person to meet with that same HR person and the person who would be my supervisor. I also chatted with the person leaving the job.
- What's on your reading list right now?
Marketing Assistant
I applied and got an email back within a week. The interview process was pretty fast. The longest I waited for news was when I was waiting to hear back about the job offer.
